Kurt joined the Firm in 1986 and was made Partner in 1992. He now serves as the Firm’s Managing Partner and head of the Commercial Department.
His area of specialty is banking and finance. He advises a broad range of domestic and international clients in commercial finance transactions, structured credit transactions, leveraged lending transactions, project financing, sovereign and commercial bond issues, mergers and acquisitions and securitization transactions.
Kurt seeks always to gain a deeper level of understanding of his clients’ objectives and products so as to provide a quality service in an efficient and timely manner. He focuses on solutions that are innovative, practical, and tax and cost driven. In so doing, he maintains the Firm’s objectives and track record of delivering advices, which are structurally sound, meet the clients’ objectives and stand the test of time.
Kurt has earned a sterling reputation for his commercial work and has consistently been recognised each year as a leader in Chambers Global, World’s Leading Lawyers for Business since 2004.
Kurt believes in staying fit and is a gym regular. He also enjoys travelling and tries to visit a different country each year with his wife and children.
